Shipping policy
All orders are processed within 3 to 4 business days (excluding weekends and bank holiday) after receiving your order confirmation email. You will receive another notification when your order has shipped.
We send out Royal Mail 2nd class as standard so delivery times will be approximately 3 days.
Please note that addresses in the Scottish Highlands and Scottish Islands may take a few extra days.

Our shipping rates are based on the weight and size of your parcel.
Please note the 'donate a book' items and the book subscription have no shipping charge
The rates cover Scottish Book Trust costs of picking, packing and delivery.

Our office is down a close off the Royal Mile, there are several steps to get to our main door.
As the office is not open to the public, please ring the door bell and our staff will be able to assist you.
Packaging
We care about the environment and your order.
We use hardbacked envelopes, boxes and mailing bags. The hardbacked envelopes and boxes can be recycled in your normal household paper and cardboard recycling. The mailing bags are LPDE made from 100% recycled materials and can be recycled at specialised plastic bag and wrapping recycling points which can be found at many supermarkets.
Whenever possible, parcels are sent out in boxes that have been used before. These 'second-life' envelopes and boxes are still sturdy and as good as new!
